Update: According to WWD, the Kardashian sisters never signed off on Kardashian Beauty's new Fierce collection. The trio filed a complaint on Wednesday, accusing Hillair Capital Management of trademark infringement for using their likenesses on the products without their permission.

This story was originally published on July 8, 2016, at 3:50 p.m.

The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here: Kardashian Beauty is launching contour palettes. If you're scratching your head wondering why the hell the brand hadn't brought one out earlier, we're right there with you. Naturally, we had to get our hands on them and put them to the test.

The Fierce Collection, available on KBeauty.com today and at Ulta Beauty in August, contains three face kits (each has eight eyeshadows, one highlighter, and a blush), eight shades of foundation, four shades of "koncealer," two "Kontour Kases," and nine creamy lipstick shades. The best part? Nothing in the line costs more than $17.

Check out the slides ahead to watch our staffers try on some of the new makeup and to peep every single shade — including Werk It, Slay It, and Bye Felicia.

Ed. note: A previous version of this story attributed these new contouring kits to the Kardashians when the family is, in fact, not associated with the products. We have update the post to reflect this news.

First up, the much-anticipated contour kit, which comes in two shades. This one is geared toward medium to dark skin tones.

Kardashian Beauty Kontour Kase in Medium/Deep, $15.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Shuhan Hu, a digital asset specialist, especially liked the subtle glow of the Light/Medium Kontour Kase, but warned about the texture. "It did give me a flawless finish, but the product was pretty heavy, so I don't know that I could wear it in the summer," she said.

The second shade in the lineup is best for fair skin.

Kardashian Beauty Kontour Kase in Light/Medium, $15.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Associate product manager and producer Ryen Williams blended the deepest color of the Medium/Deep Kontour Kase under her cheekbones to sculpt and used the medium shade for subtle highlighting. "The products were easy to apply — creamy and smooth," she said. But, she added that even the darkest shade was still a bit chalky on her skin tone.

Emily Curl, an associate video producer, employed the lightest two shades to highlight the center of her face. "It was [full-coverage] but also surprisingly easy to blend," she said.

But that's not all. Lipsticks are also in the lineup.

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Independent, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

The collection's Independent lipstick, seen on Curl here, has a gorgeous glossy finish, but it requires a skilled hand. "The lipstick was a wet, milky consistency and required careful application and a lot of blotting," she says.

It wouldn't be a modern day lipstick collection without a creamy brown.

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Bye Felicia, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

This shade seems like the ultimate Kardashian-inspired hue, and Hu thought the consistency was a winner. "The lipstick was super creamy," she says. "I used the Bye Felicia shade, which was really nice."

This pink looks intimidating in the tube but is super flattering IRL

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Opinionated, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Williams calls this fuchsia the perfect summer shade. "It's really high in pigment," she said. "It went on smooth and gave me a shimmery, satin finish."

There are six other flattering shades to round out the collection.

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Damn Gina, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Empower, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Goals, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Persevere, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Phoenix, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Kardashian Beauty Lip Slayer Lipstick in Show Up, $9.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

If you're after that signature dewy Kardashian look, don't worry: The brand is also launching a range of foundations.

And there's creamy concealers, too. (Which work great for more targeted highlighting, we might add.)

Kardashian Beauty No Apologies Koncealer, $8.99, available on July 8 at KBeauty.

Finally, there are three eyeshadow palettes for a variety of day and evening looks.
