We're not calling ourselves fortune-tellers or anything, but we've gotten pretty damn good at predicting which runway styles will make their way into the mainstream — as in, the Zaras and H&M's of the world — in no time. It's a certain combination of freshness yet accessibility that indicates a trend is going to be ubiquitous.
Just this time last year, we had inklings that puffer coats would blow up (they did!), and knew that every street style star would be sporting this blazer silhouette(it's happening). We spotted that forced off-shoulder look before every blogger started doing it, and even went so far as to say that velour tracksuits would come back (hence the Vetements collab, and now Juicy Couture for Urban Outfitters).
This season, we're at it again. To us, it's like a little game to place our bets on the runway that are sure to catch on, and we want you to join in on the fun. Click on to see the trends we'll be keeping an eye out for come fall, and check back as we update this slideshow from the international fashion weeks, too.

Fish-Scale Sequins
We're feeling a bit nostalgic for that Rainbow Fish book we read as kids, because the sequins this season are very under-the-sea.

Bear Sleeves
The jacket silhouette you'll be wearing come fall is all about the sleeve interest. Voluminous, furry sleeves are attached to more structured, body-skimming silhouettes for dramatic contrast that makes you look like a teddy bear in the best way.

Synchronized Swimming Caps
The best way to let your outfit do the talking? Cover your head. We these swim cap-style head coverings at a handful of shows, and we're curious to see if Zara is bold enough to take this one on.

Draped In Silk
Shapeless and silky are the names of the game. These nighttime-ready looks aren't body-skimming or structured — they're floaty and breezy as can be.

Pants As Eveningwear
Luxe bottoms are just as acceptable as a gown for evening affairs (or, better yet, why not wear your dress over a pair?).

Walk Of Shame
You know when you throw on your date's hoodie over your dress, wear sunglasses to cover up last night's makeup, or swap your heels for, well, Crocs for the commute home? Yeah, that whole "morning after" aesthetic is "in."

Why? Because your pockets are large enough to hold everything you could possibly need.

Belly-Bearing Jackets
It may seem counterintuitive, but jackets are getting even shorter, to the point where you may be showing a little more midriff come fall. Just roll with it.

Androgynous Denim
The gender lines are blurring in the world of denim, with unisex and oversized styles taking center stage. If it feels roomy, chances are you're doing it right.

The Orange Statement
It's hard to believe, but we're predicting your statement coat come fall will likely be orange and fluffy (that is, if the New York runways are any indication).

Rib-High Pants
Just when we thought low-rise pants might have a moment, fashion week held fast to its high rises, and they're higher than ever. These babies can make anyone look like they've got legs for days.

Remember those rhinestoned tees and sweatsuits you had from Bebe and Juicy Couture? They're ba- aack. Talk about a #TBT worth scouring your storage unit for.

All The Camo
Camouflage is officially fashion. Whether it's pared back with a little tulle and something sparkly the J.Crew way, or styled full-on utilitarian-style, it's a print ready to be adapted into a variety of looks.

The Working Woman Uniform
Is this the fashion industry's ode to Mary Tyler Moore? We can all feel like a boss with a nubby skirt suit that also shows off a healthy bit of leg.

Wrapped & Belted
Forget everything you know about wearing your coat open, or buttoned normally down the front. It's all about wrapping one side over the other, bathrobe style, and likely topping it off with a belt to hold everything in place.

Samantha, The American Girl
Is it just us, or were you getting major American Girl-doll vibes from the many plaid sets and white ruffled blouses at New York Fashion Week? It's a Victorian-era throwback that's actually totally wearable.

The Half-Dress
We've started seeing versions of this trend on the red carpet, but it looks like it'll be going steady through fall. Look at it as the new iteration of that slip dress trend that's been a thing for years.

Mustard Yellow
Consider this condiment-colored hue for your next dressed-up occasion. Luckily, it's a shade that compliments a variety of skin-tones (don't be scared of yellow!).
